I will certainly not be the only one who will not soon forget 2020. From a busy start of the year and a good Boot Holland we suddenly went to a completely different situation in which we only had the store open by appointment.
What stuck with me most from the beginning is the uncertainty. So many questions, both business and private. Not only did we have to change the entire organization so that we could work from home, there was also a lot of uncertainty about what was and was not allowed on the water. Some marinas were closed, some countries were not accessible and many more aspects were not always clear.
Fortunately, it soon became apparent that sailing was allowed. The Dutch waters turned out to be busier than ever and boat rental also increased enormously. I am very grateful for all the sweet questions you have asked us; whether it was about our personal health or the company, it is all very much appreciated. Because when I look around me, it is by no means obvious that things are going well. Fortunately, I can tell you that we will continue to develop our WinGPS software very hard in 2021. With the release of our app for iOS, we are counting on a whole new batch of Stentec customers and in the meantime we are continuing to develop the new versions of the WinGPS 5 series, WinGPS Marine for Android and of course WinGPS Inland. We intend to provide you with innovative navigation solutions for many years to come.
In this way I would like to thank you all very much for the pleasant cooperation and your confidence in our products. I wish you a healthy 2021 in which you can hopefully enjoy your boat and each other.
