For WinGPS and DKW charts

Our software and charts work on many systems.
Check the minimum and recommended system requirements below to make sure everything runs smoothly on your laptop, PC, tablet or smartphone.

Please note: Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 at the end of 2025. This means that no more security updates will be released. Prevent security risks and switch to Windows 11 in time.
WinGPS Marine

• Android 7.0 or higher**
• Minimal 2 GB RAM
• 10 MB disk space*

The charts can be stored on an SD card. Are you using WinGPS Marine on a device without an SD card slot? Then we recommend at least 16 GB of internal storage. This way, in addition to WinGPS and your charts, you also have enough space for other apps.
WinGPS Marine

• iOS 12.0 or higher
• 58 MB disk space*

iPads without mobile internet do not have internal GPS. Do you want to navigate on these iPads? Then you need an external GPS receiver, such as the Bluetooth GPS GNS3000.




DKW Charts
DKW 1800 series - DKW 1600+ - DKW Inland - DKW International - Delius Klasing - Imray

• Valid version of WinGPS

• Sufficient disk space*

• To use the digital Delius Klasing charts on Windows,
at least the 2025 edition of WinGPS 6 is required.

• To use the alarm zones supplied with the DKW 1600+,
at least the 2026 edition of WinGPS 6 is required.


WinGPS on your smartwatch
Pairing WinGPS Marine Plus for Android with Wear OS smartwatches.

o pair this, you use WinGPS Marine Plus for Android (version 5.0 of May 4, 2026, or newer).
And your smartphone needs to have at least Android 8.

WinGPS only works on watches with Wear OS (an operating system from Google).

Complete your navigation package
with charts and a GPS

Choose the WinGPS version that suits your situation on board, or use several WinGPS versions side by side. To complete the navigation package you also need a GPS receiver and the maps of your sailing area. This can be, for example, our own DKW charts. You can use this on all 3 systems at the same time!


Example situation:
Plan the routes at home on a PC with a large screen, take these routes with you on a laptop on board and also use the charts on your iPhone and an Android tablet so that you always have a backup system at hand.

The charts can be installed on 3 systems of Windows and Android. You also have 1 installation left for your iPhone or iPad.

Hardware

For positioning on your laptop or PC it is ideal to use a USB GPS receiver. Most smartphones, tablets and iPhones already have an internal GPS receiver that you can use to determine your position in WinGPS. Note that not all iPads have an internal GPS receiver. A wireless Bluetooth GPS receiver is then ideal for determining your position.

Please note that an update of a chart or WinGPS version may differ in size.
Modern devices usually have sufficient storage. We take this into account when developing our products.


** Our Android apps sometimes also work on Android 5 and 6. However, we cannot guarantee this and do not provide support for it.
If you have the option, we recommend upgrading to at least Android 7.
