Update and test

Before you can set out the journey in WinGPS, it is wise to update both your WinGPS and the digital charts to the latest versions. This way you have the most recent information and you can sail as safely as possible.

We recommend that you always test your laptop and GPS receiver if you have not used it for a long time. A GPS rollover took place in 2019 and as a result some GPS receivers no longer work properly. You may therefore have to switch to a new GPS receiver. View our GPS receivers here.

Upgrade WinGPS 5

Have you already upgraded all charts and your WinGPS 5 to the 2020 edition? Then you can download the latest updates in the news center. This also updates the bridges, locks and other objects. For example, a new update is also available today for WinGPS 5. Click here for more information about the new functions and improvements.

Do you have an older version of WinGPS 5? Then you can easily upgrade to the 2021 edition for €80.

Update WinGPS Marine

You can download the latest update from WinGPS Marine in the Playstore (Android) or Appstore (iOS). The charts that are installed in WinGPS Marine are checked for updates when the app is started.

Updating the charts is also important for planning your trip. Updating provides you with the latest depth information, buoyage and information about ports and moorings.

Because of the popularity of the Dutch inland waters, we paid extra attention to the DKW Vaarkaart Nederland and released it extra early. This way you can get on your way with the best water map for the Dutch inland waterways.
