This week we released an update for WinGPS 5 Navigator, Pro & Voyager 2021. Below you will find a description of the innovations in this update.

• Notifications: For example, if an alarm is active or if something is being updated in the background, this will be clearly shown in the top left of the chart screen. This can be set at View > properties > Screen.
• With a route over the route network, the route information now shows a traffic light at bridges, from which you can easily see whether the bridge must be operated (red), whether you must lower the mast (yellow), or whether you can go under the bridge (green).

• All the above changes.
• The German Bight tide stations have been added to the program, so you can view the German Bight tides for the whole of 2021 and use them for route planning.
• While looking ahead in time with the timeline, the predicted position of the vessel on the route is shown in the following mode you have set, for example head-up or course-up. This way you can easily and quickly see where you are at what time while sailing or route planning.

• All the above changes.
• Simulation shows predicted route of floating objects. For example a man overboard, a life raft or a boat with engine failure (without sail).
• The speed of the simulator is now determined on the basis of the speeds set at File > Properties > Ship. The speed can also be obtained from the polar diagram, making simulation with downloaded GRIB files more realistic.
• Polar diagram can now also be viewed with a look ahead in time when you are editing the route or when you are actively navigating the route.
• Ability to draw a training boat in polar diagram and chart showing boat position, sails and rudder.
