On the 25th and 26th of August the 53rd edition of the famous 24-hour sailing race takes place. As in previous years, we provide the free rack chart and the buoy file for all our users.
Free rack chart
This 24-hour sailing race rack chart is only recommended for preparation. The buoys on this chart are indicative, rough and are not regularly updated. For safe route planning we can recommend the DKW 1800 series, including weekly BaZ updates.
Once you have installed this chart, preparations can begin. With the current and highly detailed information from the 'Kustfijn model', you can prepare the regatta more accurately than ever before. When you have set your polar diagram in WinGPS 5 Voyager, the program can help you optimize the route based on recent forecasts of predicted wind and currents.
The waypoints of the buoys are included with the chart. The waypoint database shows the most recent position of the buoys. These positions are therefore predominate to the projected buoys on the chart itself! In addition to the well-known rack chart, an empty chart will be installed where you can put the racks on. Turn these charts on / off from the chart manager. In WinGPS 5 on Windows, you can have both charts turned on in chart manager and move a chart to the foreground with the right-click of the mouse.

WinGPS 5 or WinGPS Marine
The rack chart 24-hour 2017 is free to use in WinGPS 5 (for Windows) and in WinGPS Marine (for Android).
For use on your Windows system, download this file. Open the DKW Manager and choose 'install/update'. Next choose 'DKW2 charts from a chart archive'. Select the downloaded CHV file and follow the steps. Open WinGPS 5 afterwards and click 'charts - chart manager'. You will find the chart under 'DKW 24 Uurs'. Please note, this is an update for the 2016 edition.
For use on your Android device, go to 'Menu - Chart manager - Download (most left screen)' in WinGPS Marine. Select the rack chart 24 hour 2017 and click 'Download' (top right).
