As the year draws to a close, we would like to share our latest news with you. In this mailing we inform you about the WinGPS 2026 edition, the new tidal patch, and of course our new DKW 1600+ for the Dutch and Belgian North Sea coast.

In addition, the WinGPS Inland 2026 edition is now available. Below we explain how you can update your software.
NEW - DKW 1600+ North Sea Coast
Netherlands & Belgium

The new DKW 1600+ digital chart is now available and is ideal for navigating along the Dutch and Belgian coast.
This comprehensive chart combines Hydrographic Chart 1600 with additional chart sheets into one clear and complete package: from Rottumerplaat to Dunkirk, including the Western Scheldt, Ghent & Antwerp, and the Rijnmond area.
  • Always up to date with weekly BaZ (NtM)
     
  • A familiar chart presentation, seamlessly compatible with the DKW 1800 series and DKW UK1 English East Coast.
     
  • Smart alarm zones for wind farms and restricted areas will become available in the course of WinGPS 6-2026.
     
  • An ideal replacement for charts 1801, 1803 and 1809.

 

     
Also available as a value bundle with the DKW 1800 Series Complete.
Tides and Currents 2026

The Dutch tides for 2026 are now available. This allows you to start planning routes along the Dutch coast for the entire year 2026 right away.
 

Do you use the WinGPS Marine Plus subscription on Android? Then the app will be updated automatically.

Do you use WinGPS 6 Pro, Voyager or Inland 2025 edition? You can simply update WinGPS via the News Center, after which the new tidal information will be immediately available in your WinGPS.

Do you use WinGPS 5 or WinGPS 6 Pro, Voyager or Inland 2024 edition or older? In that case, you can upgrade to the 2026 edition, or purchase a separate tidal patch.

   
Of course, the new Dutch tides are also included in the WinGPS 6 Pro, Voyager and Inland 2026 editions.
WinGPS 6 Inland - 2026 edition now available!

Our WinGPS version specifically developed for inland shipping and vessels over 20 metres is now available as the 2026 edition.

Below you can read what is new and what is coming in the 2026 edition.

Have you already ordered the 2026 edition? You can now download it via the Stentec Installer.

If not, you can upgrade your WinGPS Inland to the 2026 edition by purchasing a separate Inland upgrade, or by choosing the Inland Update Service.
WinGPS 6 - 2026-edition

The WinGPS 6 - 2026 edition once again makes major steps forward in safe, comfortable and future-oriented navigation. The Navigator, Pro and Voyager editions are expected in early 2026.
WinGPS Inland 2026 is already available, as mentioned above.

What can you expect in the 2026 edition:

  • Always up-to-date waterways
    A fully updated routing network covering almost all waterways, VHF channels, bridges and locks.
     
  • Even smarter navigation with Routing Network 2.0
    A more accurate and more frequently updated network, developed as the foundation for future features such as TrackPilot.
     
  • Increased safety through smart alarms
    New bridge collision alarms and support for chart zones with notifications and warnings, including the zones from the new DKW 1600+.
     
  • TrackPilot: prepared for semi-autonomous navigation
    With a new expansion module, WinGPS will be able to support autopilot integration in the future. Thanks to the built-in simulator, this can be practised safely.
     
  • WinGPS 6 Voyager improvements based on real-world experience
    Through testing during, among others, the 24-Hour Sailing Race and the Voyager Masterclass, WinGPS 6 Voyager is being further refined, including a more practical start-up procedure.
     
  • Improved support for IENC charts
    More options for route planning, bearings and safe navigation, also for deep-draught vessels and cruising yachts.
     
  • Prepared for modern GNSS receivers
    Support for faster and more accurate positioning, resulting in a calmer and smoother chart display.


In short: WinGPS 6 - 2026 is being developed with a clear focus on safety, reliability and the navigation of tomorrow. 
 

   

Regardless of how old your WinGPS 5 or 6 version is, you can upgrade directly to the 2026 edition. This can be done by purchasing an upgrade, or by choosing a Premium Subscription.
