The Stentec shop in Utrecht is open during the festivities. The Utrecht 'statenjacht' comes back to the Veilinghaven. Free 2009 upgrades for the most popular digital charts !
A free 2009 upgrade is offered for the following chart sets purchased after November 1, 2008 (CD and download):
- Any DKW1800 chart set. Free online Update Service up to March 2010.
- ANWB 2008 Nederland with all inland Dutch waterways. The 2009 edition contain about 50% new chart sets and is expected in March. You can download the 2008 edition from www.stentec.com/anwb.
- The popular German Bight (DL2) from Navkom. The upgrade with 2009 charts is expected in April/May.
Ad soon as the 2009 edition is released you will receive an e-mail to download your upgrade for free. Mostly in March or April. Ideal for preparation for the new sailing season. Also free 2009 upgrade is offered for inland waterway route planner PC Navigo.
Sail Simulator 5
The first pre-version of Sail Simulator 5 Multiplayer will soon be available for sailing and racing during the winter holiday. Free update to the complete Hiswa 2009 version in March. Screenshots of the test version are expected next week.
New options for WinGPS 2009
On request of many users the logbook of all WinGPS 4 series programs is modernized and speeded up. With selection of all Nav-Info parameters. For Voyager this also includes automatic logging of depth, heading and relative wind angle each 5 seconds or more.
AIS safety and text messages from other ships will be show in a window. Also the options for AIS Class B "CS" transponders have been improved.
WinGPS 4 Voyager was the good winner of the Hiswa Innovation price 2008. An excellent 2009 edition of WinGPS 4 Voyager will be released early spring of 2009. With more innovative options and based on suggestions of the first 250 users.
Voyager did perform well at the Delta Lloyd 24-uurs Zeilrace 2008 (700 boats). Beta tester Peter van den Driesche was navigator on the winning boat in its class (80 ships). Voyager will be optimized for the 24-uurs race of 2009.
New Stentec website soon online
A modern new Joomla based website will replace the more then 10 years old Stentec website this winter before Christmas. More attention can than be given to navigation solutions and following our software development especially WinGPS Voyager and Sail Simulator 5. Easy language selection makes it an ideal communication channel for international marketing.
