Freeware for your PocketPC

WinGPS 4 Mobile Navigator plots your position, speed, course and track on the digital charts on your PocketPC. Chart sets have to be installed through ActiveSync to your PDA using the latest version of DKW Manager. WinGPS 4 Mobile Lite reads ANWB/VVV charts of the Dutch inland waterways, as well as the DKW1800-series with BaZ (NtM) Update Service. Maptech BSB and Navkom DKW2 chart support makes it ideal for position plotting on international waters.

WinGPS 4 Mobile Lite will be included on the DKW1800/2005-series CD-ROM. Also a special ANWB lite-version will be available at the ANWB/VVV Digitale Waterkaarten CD-ROM's. For downloading WinGPS 4 Mobile lite see the Downloads at the bottom of this page.

• Supports DKW2 charts (converted BSB as well)
• Seamless cartography (all chart being fit together as one large chart)
• Easy zooming and panning
• Plotting of position and track, when an NMEA-0183 compatible GPS is connected
• Course over ground (COG), speed over ground (SOG) and WGS84 coordinates
• You can install one chart set at a time through WinGPS 4L (meaning you can use one chart set at a time)
• No route function
• Chart-up only
• Position in centre of the chart, without speed vector
• WinGPS 4L required for installation through your PC

The WinGPS 4 Mobile Lite is only supported by PDA's with Windows Mobile 2003 or 5.0 operating system. Support for more PDA-types is planned for the future.

With WinGPS 4 Lite, WinGPS Mobile Lite and DKW Builder Lite, you can get in touch with GPS-navigation on your PDA for free. With the free DKW Builder Lite, you can make DKW2 charts yourself with your A4-scanner and plot your GPS position on it with WinGPS 4 Mobile Lite running on your PocketPC.

GPS-hardware

Ideal GPS-hardware solutions for navigation on your PDA are for example a Compact Flash GPS or BlueTooth GPS. These can be ordered in our Online Shop under harware, where you can also find more information. Cables for connecting your current GPS receiver to your PDA can usually be obtained as well.
