Use our new DKW Builder 1.2.3.0 to create charts for all our WinGPS 4-series programs (PC and PocketPC). You can use scans in unlimited size or number or use Google Earth screenshots to make a river chartset for example. For stitching them all together we can recommend the free Autostitch demo. Using overlapping A4 scans is also possible. For being able to optimally use DKW Builder, basicknowledge regarding chart projections and chart datums is required.

With DKW Builder you define a chartset, consisting of multiple charts. The chartset can be saved as a chart archive file, which can be installed with DKW Manager. The selfmade DKW2-charts will be available immediately for GPS navigation with WinGPS 4.

DKW Builder Lite

The limitations to DKW Builder Lite are:

• Maximum pixels per chart 1250*1750
• Maximum 10 charts per set
• Maximum 10 points for polygon clipping of chart borders

What do you need for creating self-scanned DKW2 charts

• A computer system which meets the system requirements
• Charts which can be scanned, with 2 or 3 calibration points and checkpoints
• A scanner with scanning program
• A program for editing images, like PaintShopPro for straightening scanned charts, for cutting and pasting and editing charts
• DKW Builder from our online shop or DKW Builder Lite (2 Mb) for creating a chart archive file
• DKW Manager for installing the chartsets
• WinGPS 4, Lite or 4 Pro
