New DKW1800/2005 download version released ! Now for sale in our online shop for only € 19.90 per set ! Directly after payment approval you will receive an e-mail with download instructions. The 2005-sets must be installed using a new DKW Manager. Use the "search for updates" link on top of your DKW Manager or download a new one from our site (see links below). It is recommended to burn a backup of the downloaded chv files and DKW Manager on CD. An e-mail has been sent with free download instructions to customers which purchased the 2004 edition later then November 10, 2004. Last weeks buyers will be informed this week. If this also concerns you, but you did not receive an e-mail please contact our secretary. The master of the DKW1800/2005 CD-ROM edition will be uploaded to Sony this week. New 1800 CD's can therefore be expected at the end of next week. Back orders will be processed with priority. The DKW1800/2005 edition has been updated by the Dutch Hydrographic Office until the end of February (week 7). The BaZ Update Service of the 2005-edition starts the middle of May, almost directly after the release of the CD-version. Updating of the 2004 edition with the latest update of March 28 is still possible with the new DKW Manager. For updating the 2005 edition you need to wait until the first 2005 BaZ updates package has been uploaded to our server. Also a new DKW Manager will be released that supports 2005 BaZ updating. New WinGPS 4 Mobile Lite freeware has been released that can show your GPS position, speed, course and track on your PocketPC PDA, running under Windows Mobile 2003. All WinGPS 4 charts are supported, like 1800-series, ANWB, Navkom and BSB charts. The Lite version is an easy learn chart plotter. For full GPS-navigation including routes we recommend our new WinGPS 4 Mobile Navigator. Our new DKW Manager allows installing from BSB CD's (Maptech/NV-Verlag) to PocketPC to be used with WinGPS 4 Mobile Lite. A 512 MB SD/CF memory card is recommended, or even a 1 GB card for longer sailing trips. BSB chart support can also be expected in the next update of WinGPS 4 Mobile Navigator (released later in May). Before you sync your charts from PC to PDA, they need to be installed and activated on your PC. For BSB4 charts online activation is fully automatic if you once have started a user account on www.maptech.com. Offline activation is possible using an other online PC and manual Registration at the Maptech site. We feel sorry to mention that the release of the 2 ANWB CD's of West-Nederland and Grote Rivieren has been delayed further (Dutch inland waterways). Delivery of the first large CD-order from ANWB is expected now at May 11. Backordered ANWB CD's will be processed with priority. In May the first Eurosea/2005-edition CD-ROM's in Stentec's DKW2 format will be released by Navkom (Germany). The CD's contain a lot of digital charts against a relative low price. They are special made for WinGPS 4 series programs. Base material was delivered under license of the international Hydrographic offices like UKHO (British), BSH (German) and KMS (Danish). The completely digital process uses Stentec's DKW Builder guarantees a high accuracy. Selecting digital charts in our online shop has become very easy now. All CD's and Downloads are in one table, and an advanced search option can be used, to find the right charts.
