Better Control Needed

i love this game as it is pretty dam close to sailing a real boat, but i dont like the fact controls are grouped.
i have 4 fingers and a thumb all like little crew members that can trim sheets and ballance the boat, i would like the see individual controls for the sails rather than having to pick the group first, and i believe this would better allow control with a gampad/joystick.

So who agrees with me?

totally agree and this is not a major update to do ...

another problem when trying to use joystick is that make autopilot completely useless
why Stentec didn 't make it reacting as with the mouse control ? (using rudder it deactivates it ...)

Sail sim is a good game but with these few minor controller management changes, it could be an AWESOME one !

and NMEA link is very nice that give the extra dimension to the game routing

ps: as we talk about improvements , making an entry from gps or other navigation soft could be a kewl improvement
as a "reduced mode" with no graphics to let the boat cruising all night long -> the 500 miles regattas accessibles
the game to grab metars or gribs like the "real weather" in flight simulator would be the TOP of the TOP

with better game control Stentec could reach the first place in virtual sailing sim ...
for now my prefered is still VSK5 for ergonomics.

Does anyone have success setting up a gampad type controller. Any tips
