Navigation training

Good evening!

What I have to add it to it, that the SailSimulator5 and the WinGPS4Lite let him collaborate, that let the motion of the virtual ship be traceable on the map in the window of the navigational software? :?:

Not exactly sure for WinGPS Lite, but I have a step by step posted here for the other WinGPS versions:

(lite has a simpler screen I believe)

Is it necessary to identify his own position as GPS in order for RMC to be able to supply a sign meanwhile?

Not sure about your question, but the Sail Simulator is able to output the RMC and other NMEA values.

Depending on where you sail, the appropriate GPS position is used. So if you are sailing at Scheveningen, the GPS position from there is being used.
NMEA output only works in single player mode.

Hi, Erik!

I experiment with the virtual sailing in Fluessen area. To this I bribed it Friesland map, that let me try the cooperation the SailSimulator5 and the WinGPS4Lite.
The simulator they appear in GPS's window the position data, but the WinGPS4Lite does not perceive these, he indicates that GPS is not concerning it.
I say thank you for the information whatever!

Can you tell me the settings of the NMEA link in Sail Simulator? Did you make a Virtual Null modem or do you use an existing Com port? You should make a Virtual Null Modem en select this port in WinGPS 4 Lite OR let WinGPS 4 Lite detect the device. This should work.

P.S. In the Beta version this function isn't activated. You should use v5.1.7.2 to let it work.
Also the NMEA Link should work when you make the Virtuall Null Modem yourself with a program called VSPE (Virtual Serial Ports Emulator). You should select the port of the Null Modem yourself and after that it should work.

Good evening, Bernard!

I created the virtual null modem naturally in the SailSimulator, and I turned up in the WinGPS4Lite too. But than you write it in the postscript, the beta the function is not in a version aktivated, like this understandable, how the system is out of order.
I am obliged so to wait for the definitive edition because he would not be expedient only because of this to obtain Scheveningen area digital collection picture.
