Com Port Plug & Play Blocker wil op PC's met Windows Vista vaker niet dan wel starten. Dit probleem is op te lossen door de icoon met de rechtermuisknop aan te klikken en op 'Eigenschappen' te klikken.
In het Eigenschappen venster kan vervolgens op het tabblad Compatibiliteit geklikt worden. Hier moet dan in het bij 'Compatibiliteitsmodus' gezet worden. Daar moet ook 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)' geselecteerd worden. Nu nog op 'Toepassen' klikken en Com Port Plug & Play Blocker kan geopend worden.
